Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) in collaboration with Akzo Nobel Pakistan Ltd (ANPL) will start 3 months duration course to train in the field of paint industry. The entry level for admission is 8th class pass within age limit of 16 to 40 years.

According to the press statement issued on Thursday, an MoU in this regard has been signed between TEVTA and Akzo Nobel Pakistan Ltd here yesterday at TEVTA Secretariat. Chairperson TEVTA Arif Saeed and Chief Executive Officer Akzo Nobel Pakistan Ltd Jehanzeb Khan signed the document.

According to the details of the said agreement, ANPL and TEVTA will mutually collaborate in the Pilot Painters Training Programme (PPTP). ANPL will provide visiting faculty for conducting the training programmes. The training material and tools would be provided by Akzo Nobel Pakistan Ltd.

These tools will primarily be used to supplement the training programme through familiarisation with ANPL technology and students; learning ANPL product strengths and qualities. It will provide ANPL branded tool kits to both ANPL recommended painters and TEVTA painters participating in PPTP. Stipend amounting to Rs 3,000 would be given to participants. ANPL will train two instructors of Government Technical Training Institute Gulberg as master trainer with PPTP first batch.
